Japhou Mage hosts send off ceremony

Imphal, June 27 2018: A blessing cum sendoff ceremony for U-15 boys football players who were scouted by Stadium Sports Foundation, Bangalore was held yesterday at Japhou Village Community Hall in Chandel.

The special blessing and prayer session for the players who will be joining the 2-Star accredited academy by All India Football Federation was led by Rev Sr Manshi Anal, Lecturer, LHTC and members of Chandel Football Friends (CFF).

S Chamna Anal, president CFF also declared and conferred many dignitaries as grand ambassadors of Chandel Football Friends during the ceremony.

The grand ambassadors named on the occasion were Tongsin Willingson, ex-member, ADC Chandel; Sh Manglem Monsang, member ADC Chandel; Krishna Kumar, IAS, DC Chandel; Kamei Angam Romanus, IPS, SP, Chandel; Col Prasad Ghorepade Commandant, 18 AR Chandel; S Somorjit Singh, MPS, Commandant, 8 MR Leikun; Th Kothar Monsang, CEO (retd) ADC Chandel; W Pailina Monsang District Co-ordinator, NYK Chandel; HL Lovingson Anal, Spl Contractor; Dilbung Kowar, Spl Contractor; WS Kanral, speaker UNC and Paulhring Langhu, president DSA, Chandel.

The function also witnessed the releasing of CFF Anthem by Tongsin Willingson which was composed by Bungdon Daniel, a member of CFF.

The grand ambassadors of CFF in their speech acknowledged and appreciated CFF for their continuous and tireless activities, not only in the field of football but also in social services in the district.

They also congratulated the U-15 players over the selection to the academy and advised them to maintain proper discipline at their level best so that they can achieve their goal.

The programme was followed by a grand feast prepared by Women Society of Japhou Village.
