Imphal, May 27 2016 : Saikul Junior Club (SJC) and KYFA, Koirengei will meet in the Under-13 final match of the Sunfeast Cup 2016, organised by SPT Sports, Thau Sports Complex under the sponsorship of ITC Ltd, on May 29 at Artificial Turf Ground, Khuman Lampak.

In the Under-13 first semifinal match, Saikul Junior Club defeated RAFA-A by a margin of 2 goals to one via penalty shootout after both sides failed to break the deadlock in normal time.

In the penalty shootout Seikhochon and Laurence scored a goal each for Saikhul Junior Club.

On the other hand, RAFA-A witnessed a lone goal through S Boboy.

In the second semifinal match, KYFA, Koirengei blanked AMOFA Academy by a margin of 2 goals to nil.

Md Aslam and Ch Linky scored the winning goals in the 9th and 18th minute respectively.

In the Under-16 group, IMA, Iramshiphai outclassed YSN, Khabam by a margin of 13 goals to nil.

Angamba was the star player of the match as he alone banged in six goals in the 10th, 34th, 39th, 40th, 47th and 50th minute.

Premjit also hit a treble in the 16th, 45th and 48th minute while the other winning goals came through Kishan, Michael, Tomthin and Prabhananda in the 25th, 31st, 42nd and 11th minute respectively.

In another match, a lone strike from Maniyai in the 10th minute helped Mangal FC, Kontha clinch a 1-0 win over Saikul.

In the last match of the day, TBSFA, Taobungkhok edged past IMA, Iramsiphai by a margin of 8 goals to seven via penalty shootout.

Both teams played a 1-1 draw in normal time as Ch Naotomba scored for IMA in the 19th minute while TBSFA found the equaliser in the 30th minute.

In the penalty shootout, Sekhar, Pravin, Radhakanta, Shantikumar, Ngomthoi, Bobosana and Kumar found the target for TBSFA.

For IMA, Kishan, Angamba, Michael, Naotomba, Roshan and Devananda gave six goals.

Tomorrow, in the U-16 first semifinal match, RAFA-A will play with THAU at 1 pm while TBSFA will clash with Mangal FC in the second semifinal match at 2 pm.
