KIWT 2021: Ward No 14 reach U-15 football semis

Kangpokpi, January 27 2021: Ward No 14 registered a semi final berth after defeating Ward No 1 by 3-0 goals in U-15 football in the ongoing 17th Kanggui Inter Ward Tournament 2021 at Brig M Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi this morning. Lenboilal (15', 48') and Kaigougin (52') scored for Ward No 14 to become the first ward to secure a semifinal berth in U-15 football.

In main football, Ward No 13 finished its league round with a 2-0 win over Ward No 7 and booked a quarter final berth from pool B.Paolalngaisang scored both the goals in the 20th and 38th minutes.

In another main football, Ward No 1 secured an emphatic 8-1 win over Ward No 5&6 .

Kevin (6'), Seigou (17', 52', 64', 88'), Vavang(OG-26') and Ginsonlal (71', 78') scored for Ward No 1 while Thangboi scored the only goal for Ward No 5&6 in the 66th minute.

In veteran's first quarter final match, Ward No 1 had a narrow 1-0 win over Ward No 14 to enter into the semifinal round.

The solitary goal for Ward No 1 was scored by Kamgougin in the 30th minute.

In the last quarter final match of men's volleyball played this morning, Ward No 3 defeated Ward No 2 while in women's volleyball last quarter final match, Ward No 14 defeated Ward No 12 .

Tomorrow, in U-15 football, Ward No 16 will play Ward No 8 in the second quarter final match at 7.30 am .

In main football, Ward No 3 (B) will play Ward No 4 while Ward No 11(A) will play Ward No 10 .

In veteran quarter final matches, Ward No 3 will play Ward No 12 while Ward No 2 will play Ward No 4 .

In men's volleyball, Ward No 1 and Ward No 13 will play the first semifinal match while Ward No 12(B) and Ward No 2 will fight it out for a place in the women's volleyball final.
