2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket : PTRC, CRAU emerge victorious

Imphal, January 27 2019: PTRC, Patsoi thrashed ESU, Wangkhei by 6 wickets while CRAU, Khamnam Bazar managed a nervy 2 run win over SSU, Singjamei in today's league match of the ongoing 2nd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament organised by Langthabal Sporting Club under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground.

In the Group D league match, ESU, Wangkhei won the toss and elected to bat first.

The PTRC bowlers however displayed an impressive performance to hold the Wangkhei side to a paltry 78 runs in 20 overs.

Herojit (12) and Shivajit (22) were the significant batsmen for ESU as Thoiba, Sohail and Alfred of PTRC claimed two wickets each to tear apart the batting line up.

PTRC easily reached the target losing 4 wickets in 12 overs with Johson (20 not out), Johnny (13 not out) and Rinju (12) putting in the effort for the huge win.

Hemchand and Surjit of ESU picked up one wicket each in this innings.

Sohail of PTRC was named man of the match for his 2 wicket feat.

In the Group A league match, CRAU extended their unbeaten run beating SSU narrowly by 2 runs.

Rakesh (27), Somit (20) and Manglem (11) helped CRAU which won the toss to post a total of 113 in 19.4 overs for all wickets down.

Roshan and Rohit claimed 3 and 2 wickets respectively in this innings before SSU were bowled out for 111 in 20 overs losing 8 wickets.

Amitra top scored for SSU, Singjamei in this chase making 33 runs while Satish managed 21 runs and Rohit struck 11.Somit of CRAU enjoyed a 3 wicket haul and was adjudged man of the match while Manglem and Milan claimed 2 and 1 wicket respectively.

REYS will meet Model Club while Blue Hawk will face RRCC in tomorrow's league matches.
