Imphal, November 26 2021: Dineshwor Saikhom will face Seram Sunil in the elite men's 86 kg (1981-2002) final clash in the ongoing State Level Boxing Championship which is underway at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex under the aegis of Manipur Amateur Boxing Association.

Dineshwor of Bishnupur got the better of Imphal West's Baskar Yaikhom to make it to the final after MPSC's Sunil Seram got a walkover.

The final bout for the men's 80 kg category will feature Oinam Maikel of Bishnupur who got a walkover and Thokchom Sagar Meitei of Kakching who saw off Imphal West's Sorensangbam Hemchandra in another semi-final clash.

State Level Boxing Championship

Youth Men
In the youth men's 63.5 kg (2003-2004) semi-final matches, Mushal Ahamed of Imphal East got the better of Naorem Indrajit of Kakching to set up final date with Shamurailatpam Arjun of Bishnupur who beat Moirangthem Milner of Thoubal earlier.

Meanwhile, Phaningmi Kapai of Ukhrul got a semi-final walkover in a 54 kg category and will meet Laishram Nongshaba of Bishnupur in the final.

Nongshaba beat Thoubal's Okram Gung in the first semi-final match.

Junior Boy
Yaikhomba Laishram and Meekness Khaidem entered junior boys' 52 kg (2005-2006) final today.

Yaikhomba of Bishnupur got through to the final beating Elangbam Sunanda of Kakching in the first semi-final bout before Meekness of Imphal West beat Pheiroijam Nonglen of Imphal East later.

Fighting for the 57 kg category title on the other hand are Yengkhom Henary of Kakching and Wahengbam Lamjingba of Imphal East.

Henary saw off Takhellambam Khambaton of Bishnupur in the first semi-final match before Wahengbam Lamjingba beat Soibam Zlee Singh of Thoubal.

Meanwhile, Chinglemba Moirangthem of Imphal East and Sinam Allar of Imphal West will fight it out for the 60 kg category title.

Chinglemba beat W Albarth of Thoubal with ease in the second semi-final match after Allar Singh overcame Aribam Sakil of Kakching in the first semi-final match.

Elite Women
The day saw Grace Chingngaihlian of Churacha-ndpur and Thounaojam Ojibala Devi book the final berths of the elite women's 52 kg competition.

Grace beat Pritica Ningsen of Ukhrul in a semi-final match before Ojibala saw off Maisnam Ichan Devi of Bishnupur later in the second semi-final bout.

Youth Women
In the youth women's 63 kg semi-final matches, Kshetrimayum Silky of Imphal West thumped Bindiya Naorem of Thoubal and Melody Kilong of Churachandpur beat Tingneilhing Chongloi of Kangpokpi.

Sub-Junior Girls
Thoudam Daina, Khumanthem Sinthoi, Yumnam Rakhi and Puyaluxmi Khudrakpam secured final tickets of their respective weight categories.

Thoudam Daina of Bishnupur secured the 52 kg final berth beating Imphal East's Lalruoemoi Duhlian while Khumanthem Sinthoi overcame Kakching's Chingkheinganbi Elangbam to complete the final line up.

Meanwhile, Yumnam Rakhi Devi of Kakching downed Indika Thiyam of Bishnupur to set up a 55 kg final date with Puyalumxi of Imphal West who got a walk over today.
