Imphal, June 25 2022: Bishnupur's TG English School overwhelmed Wabagai Hr Secondary School representing Kakching in a Group D league match of the State Level Subroto Mukerjee Football Tournament for U-17 boys today at SAI Turf Ground, Langjing.

K Langanglung shone in Bishnupur team's emphatic victory as he banged in four goals alone (1', 31', 41', 59') including the opener while N Abungton (22', 45', 50') and Suraj Wangkhem (30+1', 35', 52') netted three goals each.

W James also added a goal in the 37th minute to help TG English School rout Wabagai Higher Secondary School.

Earlier in the Group C opener, New Era English School representing Imphal East carved out a 5-2 win over RK Sanatombi School, Jiribam courtesy a treble from U Robert (27', 40', 48') and a goal each from Y Simon Peter (38') and O Malemnganba (46') .

In a Group D league match, Education Training School, Kangpokpi routed Bukpi Govt HS, Pherzawl 3-0 thanks to Paominlun Khongsai (14', 39') brace after Kailenmoi Kipgen (10') opened the scoring.

In a Group B league match, Noney district represented by Beream Baptist Academy thumped Senapati High School 3-1 as Willsion (2'), Shadaba (14') and Cyrush (18') netted a goal apiece.

The lone goal for the losing side was scored by Larneichung in the 43rd minute of the match.

Later in the second Group C league match, Ngamtinsei (28') and Jangminlal (30') added a goal each to give Kinship High School, Churachandpur a 2-0 win over St Peter's Hr Sec School, Chandel.

Meanwhile in the U-14 boys' tournament, Thoubal, Bishnupur and Kangpokpi side secured demolishing wins against their respective rivals.

In the Group C opening match of the tournament, L Bikramjit netted thrice (6', 19', 43') to inspire Heirok Hr Secondary School-Thoubal a 7-0 win over Kinship HS, Churachandpur.

L Belot also added twice (40', 45') and Th Shital (49') scored a goal for the winning side apart from an own goal conceded by Satminlun of the Churachandpur team in the 30th minute of the match.

Meanwhile in the Group D opener, Utlou HS, Bishnupur drubbed Bukpi Govt HS, Pherzawl by 10-0 goals as W John netted five goals (27', 40', 45', 46', 49') after Kh Alex hit a hattrick (13', 20', 25') .

Sh Rojit (38', 48') also pumped in two goals to ensure Utlou HS triumph 10-0 .

In another Group D league match, SNGCM Eng HS, Kangpokpi crushed Kamjong HS, Kamjong 9-0 courtesy a treble from Ginminhao (27', 40', 50') and a brace from Thangjalun (43', 45') .

Vicky Inpui (23'), Thangginlal (29'), Jangminlun (36') and Thonggoumang (37') also found their names on the scoresheet as the Kangpokpi side routed their Kamjong rivals.

The day also saw St Peter's Hr Sec School, Chandel beat Siroi Govt HS, Ukhrul 2-0 in a Group A league match, Mt Zion Sr Sec School, Senapati beat Trinity HS, Tengnoupal 1-0 in a Group B league match and Domini Eng School, Noney beat RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya, Jiribam 1-0 in a Group C league match.
