Moreh badminton concludes

Sasang Gangte defeated Minsang 21-18, 21-10, 21-19 to claim the men's singles title of the 2nd All Moreh Cash Prize Unity Badminton Tournament which concluded at Moreh today.
In men's doubles final, the singles finalists went down to doren/Sarat duo at 21-13, 14-21, 16-21 scoreline while the sub-junior boys doubles crown was bagged by Mansana and Ajit with a 22-20, 21-16 victory over Javed/Bewoulf pairing.
The junior boys doubles title was won by Pawan Kumar and Albert after a 21-18, 21-10, 21-19 triumph over Ajit and Yaiphaba.
The men's singles winner was awarded Rs 4000 and half the amount for the runner-up as the champions and runner-ups in both the sub-junior and junior events received Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 each respectively.
The men's doubles winners were awarded Rs 8000 and runners-up Rs 4000 .
Closing ceremony of the five-day competition organised jointly by 9 Assam Rifles and All Community Development Organisation Moreh was held with Pallel-based 26 Sector AR DIG Brig Rajiv Mankotia and All Manipur Working Journalists' Union president Shyamjai Wangkhemcha as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
The men's singles was competed by 13 shuttlers with 10 teams participating in the doubles event.
The junior and sub-junior events were competed by four teams each.
