7th MNCA Plate Tournament : NAPSA demolish YPHU by 252 runs, NCA thump IBSA 51

NAPSA-Kha Imphal and NCA-Ningthoukhong posted emphatic victories to seal their places in the semi-finals of the 7th MNCA Plate Tournament.
NAPSA trounced YPHU-Lalambung Makhong by 252 runs for the sixth straight victory at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium thanks to half centuries from Mitamnganba Chingtham, Bijaykaran and Richard Kshetrimayum.
Sent in to bat first, NAPSA racked up a huge total of 309 runs for 5 in allotted 40 overs and bowled out YPHU for 57 runs in 20.4 overs to top the group with a game left to spare.
NAPSA got off to a bright start as Laishram Electronic (23) and Mitamnganba gathered 56 runs for the first wicket before Mitamnganba (57 off 69 balls) and Bipin Singh Ningthoujam (42) forged 96 runs partnership for the second wicket.

With Bipin falling for the third wicket with scoreboard reading 161 runs, Bijaykaran (55 off 42 balls) and Richard (68 off 51 balls) hit half centuries to take NAPSA close to 300 run mark before Bijay Karan got out.
Richard became the fifth victim as the scoreboard read 309 in the last delivery of the innings.
NAPSA's Laishram Electronic (4/12 in 7 overs) and Nepram Richer Singh (3/19 in 6 overs) then devastated the YPHU line up in the chase and eventually the team succumbed to 57 all out in 20.4 overs as four batters got out on ducks and other with single digit scores.
Amar Sandham with unbeaten 18 was the highest run getter for YPHU in this innings which also saw Chingkhei Kshetrimayum and Bipin Singh Ningthoujam pick up a wicket each.
Laishram Electronic who gathered 23 runs and picked 4 wickets was adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College ground, NCA capped their Group B campaign with a 51 run victory over IBSA-Yumnam Leikai.
It was the sixth win for the Ningthoukhong team who amassed 231 runs for 10 in 38.2 overs after being sent in to bat first and restricted IBSA to 180 for 8 today.
Moirangthem Karamachand (45), Roshan Konthoujam (28), N Sidarth (33), Angom Robinhood (37) and RK Rojeeson (37) led the scoring for NCA today before they were bundled out for 231 runs.
This innings saw Pravesh, Rajababu, Manoj Sahani and Heromen Singh Ningthoujam of IBSA sharing two wickets each and Yengkhom Bhomendro and Karan Prajapati clinching a wicket each to set up the NCA collapse.
IBSA's hope of fifth win was however derailed by Amarjeet Singh Raj Kumar (3/41) and Shinoj Khwairakpam (3/40) as the duo spun web around their batters in reply and throttled the chase despite Heromen Singh's unbeaten 79 off 130 deliveries and Rajababu's 35 off 44 balls.
Chourjeet RK of NCA was also among the wicket takers as he bowled out Robinson Sanasam for 4 .
Shinoj Khwairakpam was adjudged man of the match.
The result lifted NCA to top of Group B with 12 points from 6 wins in 7 matches.
