Imphal, November 23 2012: FC Sahei defeated T Chaljang Youth club 2-1 and FC Khanglai, Saikul trounced Saparmeina Youth Club 5-1 on the second day of the 5th Mangboi Memorial Cup Football Tournament at Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi today.

Boipu (30th) and Seilet (55th) netted the Sahei goals while Letkholun scored the Chaljang goal in first half injury time.

In FC Khanglai's overwhelming victory against Saparmeina, Hangminlen (9th, 29th), Ngamminlen (32nd), Minthang (64th) and Thangminlun (76th) were the scorers as Letmang netted the consolation goal for the rivals.

In other matches of the tournament played today at LS Lunneh playground, Motbung, Motbung Youth Club humbled FC Falcon 4-1 while Seitinlien Memorial Team crushed Haokip Veng, Imphal 5-0 .

On the opening day yesterday, Kangpokpi Youth Union overcame FC Ngalhai by 3-2 margin as Lamminlal (15th), Lunneihao (73rd) and Paogoulen (83rd) scored for the eventual winners and Limminlen (30th and Haotinthang (76th) scored for the latter.

Opening ceremony of the tournament being organised by District sports Association, Sadar Hills was held with ADC Sadar Hills chairman Haokholal Hangshing as the chief guest while vice chairman Paojalet Touthang and Kuki Inpi Saikul Block president Thangkam Lupheng graced the event as the guest of honour and functional president respectively.

MDCs of ADC Sadar Hills along with representatives of Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills, KTC, KWWO, KYU and local church leaders also attended the inauguration programme.
