O Bembem to lead India's U-17 women's WC team as head coach

Imphal, October 23 2019:
Arjuna Awardee Oinam Bembem Devi is set to lead India's U-17 Women's team as head coach in 2020 World Cup to be hosted by India.
She was named as the head coach by All India Football Federation considering her expertise in the field.

Manipur's Oinam Bembem Devi is one of the most finest and experienced Indian footballers who had represented the country on many occasions and in recognition of her dedication and exemplary performance she was conferred Arjuna Award two years back.
O Bembem had captained Indian team 7 times and has 26 international competition goals in her name.
In a letter sent by AIFF, she was asked to join the selection trial camp to be held from November 3 to 10 and from November 11 to 19 at Kalyani, West Bengal.
The two time winner of AIFF Woman Footballer award has been closely associated with the National federation in many awareness and development programmes and led Indian junior women teams as official for the last few years.
