Imphal, October 22 2012: The 42nd Children Camp cum Sports meet of Model English School, Sinakeithel village, Ukhrul district concluded on October 19 at the school premises.

The valedictory function was graced by Junreiwo Thongam, an alumnus of the school, and wife of MLA Thongam Biswajit, and G Bonny Sharma as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively, according to a statement issued by V Khamrang, principal of MESS.

Encouraging the students to become productive citizens, chief guest, Junreiwo also donated Rs 15000 to the organisers.

Pastor Y Ramba preached a Gospel message while Rv Sterling, Sinakeithel VA graced the talent display night as special guest and donated Rs 10,000 for the function.

Around 800 people including students, parents, villagers and teachers attended the function.

The function promoted peace, harmony and unity not just in the village but in the entire Ihang area, it added.
