Huikap FC to meet YDC in summit clash of 6th TYPO Trophy

Imphal, February 22 2018: Huikap FC will meet YDC, Khoirom in the final of the ongoing 6th TYPO Trophy Village Open Football Tournament being organised by Top Chingtha Youth Progressive Organisation at Top Chingtha Football Ground on February 25 .

Huikap FC today edged out EJEN team, Charangpat 2-1 in the second semi final to book their place in the final.

Yesterday, YDC, Khoirom secured a similar win against LPYC, Leirongthel in the first semi-final.

W Punikanta drew the first blood in the 18th minute and put Huikap FC ahead with a 1-0 lead but Loyangamba of EJEN managed to equalise the score with a well taken shot in the 30th minute after a series of offensive raid.

The second half was also evenly matched but an early second half goal struck by K Naresh paid Huikap FC with the final berth.

Naresh who was lurking around the edge breached the defence line before cracking a powerful shot past the custodian of the Charangpat side and retained the lead.
