State Level North East Games concludes
Imphal East emerge overall team champions, IW bag runners up title

The State Level North East Games, organised by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (DYAS) under Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan (RGKA), concluded today at Sports Complex, Khuman Lampak.
The closing function of the said games was graced by Manipur Olympic Association vice president GA Ibopishak and Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) Joint Director Kh Pramoda Devi as presidium members.
Imphal East emerged overall team champions while Imphal West and Thoubal bagged the runners up and third placed titles respectively.
Hockey : Thoubal and Imphal West respectively clinched the women's and men's hockey title.
In the women's final match, Thoubal registered a convincing 6-1 victory against Imphal West.
Goals from B Memtombi (33rd, 51st), Th Nirupama (44th, 58th), W Mandakini (38th) and L Bijita (54th) gave the six winning goals to Thoubal.
On the other side, Ksh Sheileima found the lone goal of Imphal West in the 14th minute.
In the men's final match, H Amarjit hit a treble as Imphal West outclassed Chandel by a margin of 9 goals to one.
Amarjit found the targets in the 5th, 6th and 48th minute.
The other winning goals came through N Roheshkumar (46th, 49th), Ksh Wangamba (13th), L Mantosh (18th), Kh Rabikanta (31st) and Th Kingson (41st).The consolation goal of Chandel was scored by Dhananjoy in the 26th minute.
Football : Imphal East lifted the men's and women's football titles while the third placed title in the women's group went to Imphal West.
In the men's final match, Imphal East thrashed Bishnupur by a margin of 4 goals to nil.
Rabindra hit a treble in the 10th, 67th and 81st minute while the fourth winning goal came through Vandona in the 15th minute.
M Bikramjit and Vandona of Imphal East and Momocha of Bishnupur were cautioned for unsporting behaviour during the match.
In the women's final match, Imphal East clinched a 3-1 victory against Bishnupur.
The winning goals of Imphal East were scored by Kashmina (4th) and I Prameshori (33rd, 37th).On the other side, E Bindyarani netted in the solitary goal for Bishnupur in the 77th minute.
Imphal West blanked Tamenglong 4-0 to claim the third placed title.
A Roja, Ch Rita, S Pramodini and H Bijaya scored the winning goals in the 20th, 26th, 29th and 39th minute.
Athletics : Kh Romajit (9:13.33 sec), Sh Romesh (9:21.80 sec) and Amir Khan (9:22.78 sec) of Imphal East respectively clinched the first, second and third positions in the men's 3000 meter race.
In the women' group, S Premila (12:20.40 sec) of Imphal West won a gold in the 3000 meter race while Sh Minchu � Thoubal (12:21.97 sec) and K Bibicha � Imphal East (13:42.22 sec) bagged silver and bronze respectively.
N Konungjao (2:06.95 sec), Md Edrish (2:07.92 sec) and Athouba (2:09.41 sec) of Imphal East grabbed gold, silver and bronze medals in the men's 800 meter race.
In the women's 800 meter race, N Chaoba of Imphal West finished on 2:47.94 sec to win gold while W Rabiya � Thoubal and L Sundari � Imphal West took 2:48.88 sec and 2:50.51 sec respectively to finish at second and third place respectively.
In the men's long jump, K Rameshchandra and M Alken of Imphal East grabbed a gold and a bronze medal while the silver medal went to Y Rocky Meitei of Imphal West.
In the women's group, L Chaoba and M Priya of Imphal East won gold and bronze respectively in the long jump event while Y Sanatombi � Thoubal settled for a silver medal.
In the discus throw, S Maipaksana � Imphal East, O Daimondson � Thoubal and S Sanajaoba � Bishnupur stood at first, second and third positions in the men's group while K Romita � Imphal West and A Sapana � Imphal West and K Robina � Senapati were the first, second and third place winners in the women's group.
Judo : In the girl's judo event.
Abesana � Bishnupur and Ch Linthoi � IW won gold and silver in the 40 kg event while Silvia � IE and M Roshibina � Tamenglong won a bronze medal each.
In the 44 kg event, Th Tababi � Chandel, I Kalpana � IW and Bidyashori � IW won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
L Sandhya and L Aruna of IE respectively grabbed gold and silver medal in the 48 kg group while L Jasper � Thoubal and Kh Aruna � Bishnupur won a bronze medal each.
In the 52 kg event, H Matouleibi � Chandel, Kh Padmabati � Bishnupur won gold and silver respectively while L Nganthoi � IE and Kh Rina � Tamenglong took a bronze medal respectively.
Rubani � Thoubal, Th Martina � Churachandpur stood first and second place in the 57 kg group while Puja B � IE and Th Chaoba � Bishnupur settled for the third place.
In the 63 kg event, Inakhunbi � IE and Rebina � IW stood at first and second positions respectively.
The 70 kg event title went to Gangarani of IE while Geetaluxmi of IW secured a silver medal.
In the men's category, S Maimu- Churachandpur, M Rajendra � Chandel won a gold and silver medal respectively in the 42 kg event while M Jemson � IW and N Rohit � IE bagged a bronze medal each.
In the 46 kg group, A Malemnganba � Chandel, L Max � IE won a gold and silver medal respectively while H Keshorjit � Bishnupur and M Anand � IW settled for a bronze medal each.
W Ajoy � IW and A Kirankumar � Chandel respectively won gold and silver in the 50 kg event while A Langamba � Chandel and Kh Somorjit � IE claimed a bronze medal each.
In the 55 kg event, A Ronaldo � Bishnupur and W Ranbir � Churachandpur stood at first and second respectively while Th Bijen � Chandel and Kh Ranjan � Imphal East settled for the third place.
L Jagadish � Imphal West, P Herojit � Chandel claimed first and second positions respectively in the 60 kg group while M Sanathoi � Thoubal and I Max � Bishnupur secured the third position.
Boxing : In the boxing event, Churachndpur's Nengneikhat Kom clinched the girl's 46 kg title while Kh Redia � IE claimed the second place title.
The third place title went to N Babyrosy � Thoubal and Ng Reina � Bishnupur.
In the 48 kg girl's event, N Jerina � Ukhrul and Kh Monika � Imphal West won gold and silver while T Merina Chiru and � Bishnupur and N Bidyapati � Churachandpur claimed a bronze medal each.
L Nilam � Churachandpur won gold in the girl's 63 kg group while Somiren- Imphal East won silver and Ningrinwon Zimik � Ukhrul and L Sarjubala � Thoubal grabbed a bronze medal each.
The 66 kg title went to S Ronibala � IE.
In the girl's 70 kg group, Th Aruna � Imphal East and S Themyophi clinched a gold and silver respectively.
In boy's group, H Paolinkumar Meitei � Churachandpur, Th Nanao � Bishnupur won gold and silver respectively in the 46 kg event while M Dayananda � Tamenglong and H Bonen � Senapati went for a bronze medal each.
In the 48 kg category, Th Nongdamba � Churachandpur, A Ngathingpam � Ukhrul and S Suresh Meitei � Imphal East won gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.
In the 50 kg event, Kh Rajesh � Imphal East, Kh Sushanta � Senapati respectively clinched a gold and a silver medal while Ranmi G � Ukhrul and L Shantikumar � Churachandpur settled for a bronze medal each.
In the 52 kg event, Md Ibrahim � Churachandpur and A Naoton � Tamenglong claimed gold and silver medal respectively while Ng Tuboi � Senapati and L Rohit � IE grabbed a bronze medal each.
In the 60 kg event, L Johnson Singh � Churachandpur, L Tomba Meitei � Chandel won a gold and a silver medal while Y Priyo � Thoubal and T Meino � Tamenglong clinched a bronze medal each.
S Binodchandra � Tamenglong, Nanocha Yumnam � Churachandpur respectively won a gold and a silver medal while L Bimol � Bishnupur and S Jiten � Ukhrul settled for a bronze medal each.
L Donoi � Bishnupur and Y Loyanganba � Churachandpur respectively clinched a gold and a silver medal in the 70 kg bout.
In the 75 kg event, B Vishal � Senapati, Y Sanamacha � Imphal West and N Jaken � Chandel respectively won gold, silver and a bronze medal each.
