11th DSA Trophy : SSU edge out MPSC to claim title

SSU, Singjamei claimed a narrow 3-2 win against MPSC in the final of the 11th DSA Trophy Naorem Bhubon Memorial State Level Invitation Football Tournament 2015, organised by District Sports Association, Kakching at DSA playground.
In today's match, both sides failed to break the deadlock in the first half despite both teams going out all on the offensive.
Soon after the breather, Riyash (Jersey No 6) struck the opening goal for SSU in the 51st minute followed by a goal from Gogocha in the 59th minute.
Khem Bahadur of MPSC managed to pull back a goal in the 64th minute, however Shidur Rehman banged in another goal to help SSC take a comfortable 3-1 lead.

Minutes before the regulation time, Golmei slotted in the second goal for the police team in the 83rd minute but failed to level the match before the final whistle.
SSU's Oken and MPSC's Somorendro were cautioned during the match.
A cash prize of Rs 70,000 and Rs 50,000 were awarded to team winner SSU and runner's up team MPSC respectively.
The fair play trophy was given to team champion SSU.
The best manager title went to A Pritokumar of LAMFA, Heirok.
The man of the final match title went to L Gogocha of SSU.
MPSC's G Golmei (6 goals) bagged the highest scoring title while the man of the tournament was bestowed on Sahidur Rahaman (SSU) .
The best mid-fielder and best defender titles went to SSU's Md Imran Khan and A Arun.
Joseph Vanlai of the police team won the best goalkeeper title.
