Imphal, August 21 2012: After the previous Executive Council of the Manipur Swimming Association (MSA) was disbanded by the Swimming Federation of India (SFI), the SFI has appointed a five-member ad-hoc committee of the MSA with Dr O Nobo Singh as chairman, M Romen Singh as convenor and BC Singh as member.

In addition, one representative each from the Youth Affairs and Sports and Manipur Olympic Association have also been inducted as members of the ad-hoc committee, claimed a press release.

It said that the previous Executive Council was disbanded after its tenure expired on July 27 this year.

Moreover annual audited statement of accounts and general body meeting reports of MSA were not sent to the SFI in time.

The SFI has also given a time period of four months to elect a new team of office bearers of MSA as per its constitution, it added.
