Imphal, December 19 2021: MPSC, WSWC and LYUC-A scripted wins in the men's competition group stage matches of the 68th State Senior Kabaddi Championship being hosted by Moirangkampu Union Club at its ground under the aegis of Manipur State Kabaddi Association.

In the opening Group B encounter, MPSC edged past LSA, Lilong 45-44 in a closely contested match to boost their semi-final hopes.

WSWC, Wabagai then knocked out LSA with a 64-47 thumping in another Group A league match.

With the wins, both MPSC and WSWC have confirmed their spot in the semi-finals and the two sides will play in the ultimate Group B league match tomorrow at 1 pm.

Meanwhile, LYUC-B who won 42-23 yesterday against MUC, Moirangkampu played out a 23-23 draw with LYUC-A today in a group A league match to book their semi-final spot.

Latter, LYUC-A sealed a 49-46 win over MUC to emerge Group A winners and confirmed their semi-final ticket.

Th Jotilal Singh of MPSC was adjudged man of the day.

The three team women's competition will be starting tomorrow.
