TRAU had to rue their decision to field first as YUCC came out all guns blazing and posted a commanding total of 266 runs even as they lost all wickets in 29.4 overs.
The score could have been otherwise had Abbas and Shivestian not conceded 59 and 75 runs in their spells of 6 overs but Swabhiman (3/46 in 5.4 overs), Dikasal (4/38 in 6 overs) and Indrakumar (3/37 in 6 overs) helped TRAU recover from further humiliation.
YUCC's Thoiba shone with a 21-ball 64 to set the pace in their innings before M Medhajit anchored well and knocked 41 off 39 balls en route to YUCC's big total.
Other significant run getters for YUCC include M Ricky (28), L Kiran (19), Kh Lohitson (18) and T Rohit Singh (15) .
TRAU then slumped to 46 all out within 16.1 overs as YUCC's K Prakash (5/5 in 3 overs which contain a maiden) and K Kennedy (4/0 in 1.1 overs) wreaked havoc across their batting line up.
Indrakumar with 15 runs, emerged the only TRAU batter to have crossed 10 run mark as 7 batters fell on noughts including four golden ducks.
Other YUCC bowlers too bowled well and spared only fewer runs.
Eventually, Khumanthem Prakash who added 8 runs and enjoyed a fifer for 5 runs in 3 overs, was adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere in a Group B league match at YCWO ground, YWC-L who carved out a 1 wicket win over PCC, Mayaikoibi in the previous game trounced TCMDC, Thongju by 8 wickets today.
Put in to bat first, TCMDC faced a tough challenge from YWC bowlers and had to bundle out for 112 runs in 25.1 overs despite rain hitting an unbeaten half century (68 off 75 balls) .
The scoring was greatly hindered by S Robinson who finished with the best bowling figure 6-3-5-4 (four wickets for 5 runs in 6 overs which include 3 maiden overs) and Dailish who fetched three wickets for 22 runs in 6 overs.
YWC then rode on Rickymenan's knock of 40 runs (not out), Rohit's 21 and Seram Robinson's 11 (not out) to cruise to 115 for 2 within 18.1 overs for the big win.
Seram Robinson, who shone with both the bat and the ball was named man of the match.
