MLSA girls shine on first day of State Level Judo Championship

MLSA's jukodas swept the board in the cadet girls' group as the 23rd State Level Judo Championship 2021 got underway on Monday at the Takyel SAI Complex.
The MLSA girls scooped six of the seven gold medals on offer in the day's cadet girls' event.
The jukodas who secured top podium honours for the MLSA side were Tina (-40kg), M Roshibina (-44kg), Th Maloti (-48kg), H Matouleibi (-52kg), Ch Linthoi (-57kg| and L Guguria Devi (-70kg) .
The remaining gold medal was won by SAI's Kalpana Devi.
The cadet boys also produced a strong showing by claiming three gold medals for MLSA as M Rajendra (-55kg), Nk Sanatomba ( 90kg) and Ch Pyanson (+90kg) were the top finishers in their respective categories.
BBA were the other side who made their presence felt in the cadet boys' event, with K Bishal (-66kg), Max Laishram (-73kg) and N Sheetal (-81kg) winning a gold each for their team.
SAI, on the other hand, bagged two gold courtesy of N Rohit (-50kg) and Th Nanaoba (-60kg) .
