3rd MCA Plate Tournament TCMDC, KIYC register narrow victories

Imphal, March 16 2016:
TCMDC and KIYC advanced with narrow victories in the ongoing 3rd MCA Plate Tournament, organised by the Manipur Cricket Association (MCA), today.
In the first match played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, TCMDC, Thongju defeated YWC, Patsoi by 7 runs.
TCMDC won the toss and opted to bat first.
Priyobarta's 42 runs off 50 balls helped TCMDC produce a 156 runs (all out) in 35 overs.
The other notable scorers were Nganthoi 26 runs off 55, Robertson 24 runs off 23, and Tulajit 15 runs off 16.

For YWC, Priyobarta and Pinky scalped three wickets each while Naocha grabbed two wickets.
In reply, YWC went down chasing the target at 149 runs in 34.5 overs.
Prameshor's 48 runs off 44 balls, was the highest scorer of YWC while Djien who was the other notable scorer contributed 36 runs off 53 balls.
Priyobarta, Sanaton and Suraj claimed two wickets each for TCMDC.
The man of the match title went to Priyobarta of TCMDC.
In another match today at Langthabal Public Ground, KIYC, Kshetrigao clinched a narrow 3 runs victory against YAC, Yaiskul.
Batting first, KIYC set a 157 runs target with all men down in 34.5 overs.
Hamid struck 53 runs while Kurban 20 and Abdul Rehman 16 were the other notable scorers for KIYC.
YAC bowler Joychandra took 3 wickets while Supernanda and Jemson scalped two wickets each.
Batting second, YAC failed to chase the target as they were restricted at 153 runs in 36.4 overs.
Somorjit (35), Rakesh (17), Manoranjan (15) were the only main scorers of YAC.
For KIYC, a fine bowling spell from Hamid saw him taking four wickets while Suraj and Abdulla took two wickets each.
Hamid of KIYC was named the man of the match.
Tomorrow, Blue Hawk, Khurai will play with PTRC, Patsoi while in another match Sangai will clash with PSC.
