2nd MNCA U-15 Women's One Day Trophy : PTRC end campaign with 193-run win over YPHUC

Imphal, February 16 2025: PTRC, Patsoi Part IV ended their campaign in the 2nd MNCA U-15 Women's One Day Trophy with a 193-run over YPHUC, Lalambung today at PCC ground, Mayaikoibi.

With the win, PTRC finished 6th in the final league standings while YPHUC finished at rock bottom with 8 straight losses.

PTRC won the toss and racked up 296 runs for 6 wickets in the allotted 30 overs this morning courtesy of 85 extras, Laishram Bigyapati's 54-ball 98 (21 fours and 1 six) and Laitonjam Benita's 34-ball 38 (6 fours) .

Thokchom Dimple (3/2 in 1.1 overs) and Laishram Bigyapati (3/18) then led the PTRC bowling attack to dismantle chasing YPHUC for 103 runs within 27.1 overs.

Earlier in the first innings, Mutum Divika Chanu returned with the best figures of 3/68 in 6 overs for YPHU before Suchitra Devi Waikhom 21 off 33 balls and Konjengbam Lembinsana 12 off 42 balls emerged double digit run getters in the chase.

Notably, 2 batters of YPHUC went out on duck as 6 others ended up making meagre single digit scores in the chase that also saw Laitonjam Benita (1/21), Laitonjam Linthoi (1/18) and Laitonjam Narmada (1/17) sharing a wicket apiece for PTRC.

Bigyapati, who starred with both the bat and ball, was adjudged player of the match.

Table toppers AKSDO, Khangabok and THAU, Thangmeiband will fight it out for the title clash of the 9-team tournament tomorrow at THAU ground, Thangmeiband.
