59th CC Meet 2015 ; ARC down AIM 2-1 to enter semifinals

ARC, Shillong advanced to the semifinals after defeating lOthMSL defending champion AIM, Khabam by a margin of 2 goals to one in the ongoing 59th Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament 2015, organised by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA).
In today's first quarter-fi-nal match played at Mapal Kangjeibung, ARC took the lead in the 40th minute after C Vanlalhruia converted a penalty.
After the breather, AIM bounced back after Th Santosh Singh found the net in the 76th minute through Ngaingmi Shimrah.
However, S Sanaton's strike in the additional 90+1 helped ARC advance to the semifinals with a 2-1 win.
Despite their win, ARC were booked with four yellow cards through C Vanlalhruia, H Naoba Meitei, S Sanaton, S Kishan while O Pitler and K Boboi were yellow carded in the AIM side.
C Vanlalhruia of ARC was named the man of the quarter-final match.
He was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1000, a track suit and a citation which were sponsored by the Future Football Promoters.
Tomorrow, SSU,Singjamei will play with Dinther FC, Mizoram in the second quarter-final match.
