4th State Level Pencak Silat Championship begins

Imphal, November 15 2021: The 4th edition of State Level Pencak Silat Championship 2021-22 cum trial selection hosted by Kakching District Pencak Silat Association kicked off today at Kakching Makha Leikai Children Park community hall.

The championship cum trial selection organised under the supervision of Pencak Silat Association of Manipur and Indian Pencak Silat Federation will continue till tomorrow.

The inaugural function of the championship was attended by social workers, Dr Huidrom Jiten and Md Sakir Ahamed as chief guest and special guest among others.

100 male and 60 female athletes representing 7 units- Imphal East, Imphal West, Kakching, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Manipur police, are taking part in the championship.

As a part of the championship, a refresher programme for coach and referee was also conducted.
