SWC win 1-0 to claim Bpr 2nd Division League title

Imphal, November 15 2019: SWC, Ishok earned the title of the 14th N Balananda Memorial Second Division Football League -2019 with a slender 1-0 win against THASCO, Ningthoukhong in the final today at Mini Stadium Bishnupur.

SWC and THASCO were evenly poised right from the onset and lack of composure and finesse held both the teams back from making the headway till the end of the first half.

Both made cautious start after the break as well but SWC started to take control of the game after a while and it was in the 49th minute that H Leichel broke the deadlock and it proved to be the decider of the game as THASCO were met with stiff opposition from the Ishok side and squandered few chances on target they got latter on.

The tournament participated by 8 teams clubbed into two Groups was organised by District Sports Association Bishnupur.
