3rd MCA Plate Tournament PSC, ESU advance with easy victories

Imphal, March 14 2016:
PSC and ESU registered easy wins against their respective opponents in the ongoing 3rd MCA Plate Tournament, organised by the Manipur Cricket Association (MCA), today.
In the first match played at Langthabal Cricket Stadium, PSC, Khoyathong registered a comfortable 77 runs win against RRCC, Churachandpur PSC went to bat first after winning the toss and struck 131 runs with all men down in 27.4 overs.
Kalla who scored 23 runs off 21 balls was the highest scorer of PSC while Jellish (16), Kamaljit (15) and Bungoraj (14) were the other notable scorers for PSC.

For RRCC, Haojalen, Elan, Ranjit and Letkhotin scalped two wickets each.
In reply, RRCC could only managed to score 52 runs in 19.4 overs.
Haojalen and Devaraj were the main scorers of RRCC as Haojalen scored 21 runs off 23 balls and Devaraj contributed 18 runs off 38 balls.
Gautam claimed three wickets for PSC while Kalla and Prasanta grabbed two wickets each.
The man of the match title went to Kalla of PSC.
In another match played at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, ESU, Wangkhei thrashed NAPSA, Kha-Imphal by 97 runs.
Batting first, ESU scored 156 runs with all men down in 38.2 overs.
Sanahal (34), Herojit (31), Mihul (28) and Robertson (18) were the main scorers for ESU.
Rocky and Rishikanta took two wickets each for ESU.
Batting second, NAPSA went down chasing the target for 59 runs in 21.3 overs.
Rishikanta (16) was the highest scorer for NAPSA.
For ESU, a fine bowling spell from Shankar saw him taking four wickets while Chitaranjan also scalped three wickets.
The man of the match title went to Shankar of ESU.
Tomorrow, Force, Kshetrigao will clash with OSCAR, Paona Bazar in the Plate Tournament while CHAMP, Khagempali will meet THAU, Thangmeiband in the Elite Tournament.in the Elite Tournament.
