4th MNCA Superplate Tournament : RCA, YWC-L register second straight victories

RCA, Lilong and YWC, Langthabal secured second straight group stage victories in the ongoing 4th MNCA Superplate Toumament 2024-25 .
In the Group B match staged at Model Hr Secondary School and Oriental College playground, YWC-Langthabal defeated TCMDC, Thongju by 55 runs thanks to Seram Robinson's half century.
YWC-L opted to bat first after winning the toss and gathered 193 runs for 6 wickets in 35 overs thanks to Seram Robinson's 73-ball 63 (11 fours) and notable contributions from Jiko Sorokhaibam 29, Ngangbam Bikramjit 23 and Pukhrambam Rohit's 20 not out.
YWC-L then rode on a concerted bowling effort from Yumnam Chingkhei (3/20), Pukhrambam Prashantamani (2/32) and Ngangbam Bishwash (2/33) to restrict TCMDC to 138/9 despite Rain Urikhinbam's fighting 41 off 60 balls.
For TCMDC, Laishram Valindra (2/26) and Birjeet Laishram (2/33) shared four wickets.
Seram Robinson who starred with the bat was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, RCA gathered 172 for 9 in allotted 35 overs after opting to bat first and bowled out FORCE for 84 runs in 20.2 overs for two of two Group A victories.
Md Alfash blazed 4 fours and 3 sixes on the way to his 60 off 61 balls in RCA's innings as Zamir Khan, Illiyas, Naesh and Md Safwan Ahamed added 21, 19,16 and 11 runs respectively.
For FORCE, Mutum Shushil (2/28), Arbin Khundrakpam (2/22), Tashib Alam (2/20), Md Islaodin (1/ 35) and Saddam Ahmed Shah (1/28) were among the wickets before they had a forgettable chase.
Only Naeem 19, Saddam Ahmed Shah 17 and Najir Ali 17 were double digit scorers for FORCE as four batters were dismissed on noughts.
Md Nasirshah Alam Nongjaimayum returned with the best bowling figures of 3/ 7 for the Lilong side as Md Danish Khan (2/11) and Zamir Khan (2/21) shared four wickets between them.
Aziz Mirza, Illiyas and Naesh Hussain also chipped in with a wicket apiece in this innings.
Md Nasirshah Alam Nongjaimayum who led the RCA bowling department was declared player of the match.
