KHSC set for overall team champion

Imphal, July 13 2016: KHSC, Khongman are all set to claim the overall team champion of the ongoing 12th Governor�s Cup State Level Fencing Championship, organised by the Manipur Fencing Association (MFA), at Fencing Hall, Khuman Lampak.

At the end of Day 5, KHSC secured 27 medals - 9 gold, 6 silver and 12 bronze medals while SAI RC with 6 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals are at second place.

In the cadet boy's foil event, M Punshiba (SAI) clinched a gold medal defeating S Langam Singh (UPAA) while L Sanjoy Singh (OLA) and Th Benish (SAI) bagged a bronze medal each.

Kh Benu Devi (KHSC) claimed gold in the cadet girl's of the same event, Khusboorani L (SAI) won silver and N Roshni (UPAA) and Ph Anita Chanu (SAI) settled for a bronze medal each.

In the cadet boy's epee event, G Bhiviyekar (MIIS) and Th Satish Singh (KHSC) respectively clinched gold and silver medal while Tension and K Nepolian of both (YASU) went for a bronze medal each.

In the cadet boy's sabre group, L Chingkheingamba (MIIS) and H Chingkheihunba (UPAA) won a gold and a silver medal respectively while S Chingkheinganba (UPAA) and Th Chabi Singh won a bronze medal each.

In the sub-junior boys foil event, O Denish (KHSC) and O Denish (UPAA) respectively clinched a gold and a silver medal while Ch Romen (KHSC) and L Lousing (YASU) settled for a bronze medal each.

In the sub-junior boy's epee group, RK Amitsana (KHSC) secured the first position defeating S Verojit (YASU) while Sh Robert and (KHSC) and N Danial (PPLYDO) went for third and fourth place respectively.

Pinky (KHSC) clinched a gold in the same event of the sub-junior girl's category while Th Sandhya and S Crown Lady of both UPAA secured the second and third position respectively and O Rojibala (YASU) settled for fourth place.

In the sub-junior boy's sabre competition, H Chingkheihunba (UPAA) clinched a gold medal while L Chingkheinganba (MIIS) went for silver.

W Sachin (UPAA) and N Tejkumar (KHSC) bagged a bronze medal each.
