MLSA crowned overall champions at 23rd Sub-Jr and Cadet State Level Judo C'ship

Mayang Lambi Sports Academy (MLSA) collected a rich haul of 13 gold.
11 silver and 9 bronze medals to amass 173 points and win the overall champions title of the 23rd Sub-Junior and Cadet State Level Judo Championship organised by Manipur Judo Association at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium.
National Sports Academy, Khuman Lampak managed 94 points on the back of 6 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze medals to finish runners up at this championship which saw a participation of 154 judokans from across 8 judo units affiliated to Manipur Judo Association.
The last day of the tournament saw A Malemnganba add a gold medal in the MLSA's tally as he beat H Keshojit of SAI in the -50 kg final for cadet boys'.
MLSA's M Jemson settled for a silver after he went down fighting in the hands of NSA's S Maimu in the cadet boys' -55kg final.
A Kirankumar of MLSA earned his unit a gold medal in the -60 kg event after beating BBA's Th Nanaoba in the final.
L Max of BBA bagged the cadet boys' -66 kg event gold as he held off Th Nishikanta of MLSA in the final.
K Bishal earned another gold medal for BBA as he dump Th Abungcha of MLSA in the -73 kg final.
Cadet boys' -81 kg title on the other hand went to H Birkamal of MLSA who overcame Mahesh Oinam of SAI in the final.
Cadet Girls
MLSA managed 4 gold medals in the cadet girls' events as Diana RK (63 kg), L Sanathoi (70 kg), Ch Juliya (+70kg) amd Anjali Thangjam (-44 kg) emerged on top in their resepctive weight categories.
SAI's H Subasini bagged the 57 kg gold after beating her unit mate L Chaoba in the final.
K Monika also won a gold medal for the unit in the -40 kg event while Soniya T (63 kg), Sh Roshitombi (-44 kg), Kh Binita (-48 kg) and Th Joyshree (-52 kg) won the silver medals.
NSA's L Nganthoi was able to claim the -52 kg title.
