MNCA Superplate Tournament : N Sanjit smashes unbeaten 102 in YUCC's 5 wicket win over CDCC, WYC beat AKSDO by 42 runs

Ninthoujam Sanjit shone with a blistering knockofl02not out off 60 deliveries as YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel registered a 5 wicket win over CDCC, Sagolband Salam Leikai in a Group A match of the ongoing 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament.
Electing to bat first at Moijing Public Ground, CDCC gathered 168 runs for 9 wickets in 30 overs but the total proved too small as YUCC cruised to the target in 26.3 overs thanks to Sanjit's ton after a jittery start.
Viking Salam 43, Ksh Robert 25 and Priyojit Narengbam 23 were the leading run getters for CDCC in the first innings that saw Devraj Nongthombam (3/14 in 6 overs), N Rahulkumar (2/37) and Somraj Laishram (2/15) sharing a bulk of 7 wickets for YUCC.
For CDCC, Ksh Roberth (2/20) and Mutum Jodiba (2/ 35) shared two wickets apiece before YUCC cruised to winning 172 in 26.3 overs.
N Sanjit was eventually adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile in a Group B match, WYC, Wangkhem posted their first win in two matches by defeating AKSDO, Yairipok by 42 runs at Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College Ground.
Wangkhem Samungou scored a slow but noteworthy 59 off 83 balls while S Herokumar and Ruhit Nongmaithem added 37 and 23 runs each to inspire toss winners WYC a total of 212 runs in 35 overs.
The total came despite Saikhom Kaiku claiming four wickets (4/25) and Rosan Laishram (2/27) and Sanayai Ningthoujam (2/49) sharing four wickets for AKSDO.
Chasing 213 for the win, AKSDO slumped to 170 all out in 32.5 overs as Mangi Sharma Gotimayum (2/45), Huirongbam Biteshwor (2/21), Ruhit Nongmaithem (2/35) and Wangkhem Laksmon (2/15) all picked two wickets apiece to derail the chase for WYC.
W Samungou who struck a half century was adjudged player of the match.
