Hosts Tashar emerge Tangkhul Open Men's Volleyball tourney champions

Imphal, December 10 2021: Tashar(A) emerged the champions of the Tangkhul Open Men's Volleyball Tournament (village level) beating Ramrei by 3-2 sets today at Khathing Memorial Ground, Tashar.

The tournament which began on December 7 was organized by Tashar Katamnao Long under the theme "Spirit of Sportsmanship" .

It was a competitive final encounter as Tashar A were forced to come back twice before sealing the game by 3-2 sets.

Earlier, in the day, Tashar-A confirmed their final ticket beating Hungphung 25-19, 25-21, 26-24 and Ramrei booked the remaining final spot beating Muirei by 3-1 sets (18-25, 25-11, 25-21, 25-23) .

Winners were feted with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 as runners up, Ramrei contended for Rs 20,000 .

Semi-finalists, Muirei and Hungphung were also feted with cash prize of Rs 5,000 each besides while Yarsem (Ramrei), Atao (Hungphung) and LH Tnamseisho (Tashar) who were respectively adjudged best setter, best blocker and best players received a cash prize of Rs 1,000 each.
