Imphal, November 10 2013: Sainik School, Imphal conducted it's annual Cross Country Race today with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Gp Capt (Dr) DD Mishra, the school Principal flagged off the race in which the cadets covered a circuitous route of 11 kms.

Cadets from the Netaji, Raman, Shivaji, and Tagore Houses took part in the event, informed a PIB (DW) release.

In the individual category, Cadet Rajeshwor (Class X) of Netaji House bagged first position while Cadet Subhan (Class VIII) of Shivaji House secured second position.

Shivaji House was adjudged first and Tagore House runners-up.

The winners were awarded with medals and trophy by the Principal.

In his speech to the cadets, Dr DD Mishra said that such competition is organized by the school to give an opportunity to the cadets to exhibit their will power and mental toughness.
