Imphal, September 10 2019: The semi-final line up for the 18th Sub-Junior Boys State Level Volleyball tournament have been set with KYLSC, Kachikhul; KLYGC, Kangmong; YMDO, Heirangoithong and TRYVC, Ukhrul earning wins in their respective quarter final matches.

KLYSC earned their semi-final berth with a 3-1 sets win against NYVA-A, Naorem today at Oinam Volleyball ground.

KYLSC dropped the third game after a overcoming two earlier sets closely but made their way back in the fourth set to finish the game 25-22, 25-23, 12-25, 25-21 and set up semi-final date with KLYGC.

In the second quarter final match, YMDO started poorly and conceded the first set but bounce back well to seal a 21-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-8 win against YPA, Hiranmei.

YMDO will face TRYVC, Ukhrul which overwhelmed PRSC, Pourabi 25-19, 25-23, 25-19 in the third quarter final match today.

Elsewhere, KLYGC ousted IGO, Oinam 23-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-18 to set up semi-final date with KYLSC.

8th Senior Women's State Level Volleyball begins
The 8th edition of Senior Women's State Level Volleyball tournament also kicked off today at the same venue under the aegis of All Manipur Volleyball Association with a total of 5 teams clubbed into two groups taking part in it.

The semi-final line of the same competition was also completed today as NYVA; MPSC-A; TRYVC and KYLSC victories in their league matches.

NYVA ensured their place in the semi-final beating KYLSC 18-25, 25-12, 25-15, 25-18 in the Group A league opener before registering a 25-14, 25-8, 25-9 win against MPSC-B.NYVA will meet Group B runners up MPSC-A in the semi-final.

KYLSC however redeemed themselves in their second and the last Group A fixture and downed MPSC-B 23-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-17 to seal a place in the semi-final.

In the Group B league match, TRYVC prevailed 25-16, 25-16, 25-17 to finish group winners and sealed the semi-final final spot.
