4th MNCA Superplate Tournament : Al-Ameen seal second straight win, FORCE post first win

Al-Ameen defeated TCMDC, Thongju by 18 runs for the second Group B win on the trot in the 4th MNCA Superplate Tournament as FORCE, Kshetrigao opened Group A winning account by defeating UCC, Kangchup Road by Bruns.
At Moijing Public Ground, Al-Ameen racked up a decent total of 221 runs for 8 wickets thanks to Mohammed Shamir Khan 50, Boboicha Thokchom 43 and Md Safwan 40 as TCMDC won the toss and elected to field first.
TCMDC's chase however fell short as they could add 203 runs for 6 wickets in the chase despite Sarangthem Priyobarta's 51-ball 55.For TCMDC, Laishram Validra (3/28) and Laishram Vivekananda (2/45) shared five wickets as Th Nganthoi and K Kalyan Sharma picked up a wicket apiece.
For Al-Ameen, Md Karim led the bowling attack and returned with the best figures of 2/51 while Md Shamir Khan, Najarul Islam and Md Sagir Ahamed shared three wickets.
Md Shamir Khan who scored a half century and claimed a wicket was adjudged player of the match.
Elsewhere at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College Ground, Fajirul Haque starred with a four wicket haul to set up FORCE a 13 run victory against UCC.
Put in to bat first, FORCE were bundled out for 172 runs in 31.2 overs as UCC bowlers put in a concerted effort but they successfully defended their total by bowling out UCC for 159 runs in 31.5 overs.
Sarfaraz 30, Md Kabir Ahmed 29, Naeem 28, Umar Sheikh 28, MM Nawaj Sarif 21 and Mutum Sushil 15 made double digit scores in FORCE'S innings that saw Laishram Roshan (2/20) and Thokchom Yoihenba (2/14) and Laishram Bhuson (2/35) sharing 6 wickets.
In reply, Thangson Anson 40 gave UCC UCC some hope after being reduced to 85/5 in 21 overs with Fajirul Haque and Arbin Khundrakpam combining well but his departure in the 27th over marked the beginning of UCC collapse.
Fajirul Haque returned with the best bowling figures of (4/32) and walked away as the player of the match as Arbin Khundrakpam (3/43) and Mutum Shushil (2/27) shared another five wickets.
