66th State Open Badminton Championships : Reingahan Kasar, Konthouj am Arvind progress into men's singles Round of 32

Reingahan Kasar of Ukhrul District Badminton Association sealed an easy victory over Paoboithang Haokip of KPDB A to progress into men's singles last 3 2 round of the 66th State Open Badminton Championships 2022 which kicked off today at Indoor Stadium, DM College campus.
Reingahan Kasar eased 21 -6 21-8 past his Kangpokpi rival in the first round of 64 encounter before Konthoujam Arvind Singh of Imphal West District Badminton Association (IWDBA) outlasted Nandeibam Baruni 21-16 21-15 in another match.
In another round of 64 matches, Kalenyai Khwairakpam of Bishnupur District Badminton Association (BDBA) edged out Malemnganba Heigrujam of IWDBA 16-21 21-16 21-10; Jenus Kangjam of IWDBA thumped Bidyananda Longjam of Kakching District Badminton Association (KDBA) 21-11 21-13; Kh Allwinson of ACDBA outlast Chakpram Yaiphaba of IEDBA 21-12 21-6 and Kshetrimayum Devajit of IWDBA outlasted KJDBA's As Khangampam 21-13 21-17 .
The day also saw completion of the pre quarter final line up of the U-17 boys singles competition.
In the first match of last 32 stage, Hemam Malemnganba of BDBA eased to a 21-7 21-7 win over Naojinglemba Warepam of IWDBA before his compatriot Khomdram Netij Acceber notched up a 21-9 21-5 win over Shoham Sharma of Jiribam.
In another clash, Pfoki Liruna of Senapati edged out Lourembam Henthoisana Singh of Thoubal 21-14 21-19 .
As Brikson Longjam of BDBA got a walkover against Harshit Sablwaat Jain of IWDBA, Maisnam Roshan of IWDBA sealed a 21-14 21-10 win over Yendrambam Alison of Thoubal to progress to the last 16 stage.
In the later matches, Yumnam Sudiskumar of Thoubal beat Imphal East's Thoudam Debabrata 21-14 21-15; Evirich Sorokhaibam of IW beat Yengkhom Robash Singh 21-16 21-16; Khwairakpam Amarjit of BDBA beat Kakching's Konjengbam Dayadana 21-15 21-12; Mongjam Vikek of IW beat Pouchundibou Newmai of Tamenglong 21-18 22-24 21-14; Maibram Brajamani of BDBA beat Kakching's Ksh Kenorish 21-17 21-4; Elangbam Shitaljit of Kakching beat L Fimate Benjashua 21-5 21-3; L Kalo Truman of Senapati beat his compatriot Wungmayo Vashum 21-12 21-17 and Thiyam Matic Rohe of Imphal East beat Imphal West's Lamnganba Takhelmayum 21-12 21-9 .
