6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship Easy victories for HUT, BHO, HMB, MIZ

Imphal, May 09 2016: Hockey Uttarakhand (HUT), Hockey Bhopal (BHO), Hockey Madhya Bharat (HMB) and Hockey Mizoram (MIZ) earned easy victories against their respective opponents in the ongoing 6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship (B-Division), organised by Hockey Manipur under the aegis of Hockey India, today at Hockey Ground, Khuman Lampak.

In today's Group-A match, Hockey Uttarakhand (HUT) thrashed Kerala Hockey (KER) by a margin of 5 goals to nil.

A treble from Sumit Kumar in the 31st, 46th and 57th minute and a brace from Rajeev Kumar in the 55th and 68th minute gave the five winning goals to HUT.

6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men's National Championship

In another match, Hockey Bhopal outclassed Vidarbha Hockey Association (VHA) by a margin of 11 goals to two.

Sourabh Pasine (40th, 47th, 48th) and Sahibur Rehman (7th, 9th, 12th) struck home a treble each for the winning side while the other winning goals came from Faizan Uddin (53rd, 63rd), Abdul Azeem (54th), Waseem Beg (65th) and Shadan Shoukat (10th) .

On the other side, VHA witnessed their goals from Kaustubh Baradhiya (14th) and Raunak Chaudhary (18th).In another Group-B match, Hockey Madhya Bharat (HMB) handed a crushing 6-1 defeat to Hockey Gujarat (GUJ) .

The winning goals of HMB were scored by Vikas Rajak (45th, 60th), Ajhar Khan (13th, 64th) and Arbaz Khan in the 9th and 25th minute.

The lone goal of GUJ was scored by Dushyant Kariya in the 63rd minute.

In a Group-C match, Hockey Mizoram (MIZ) blanked Hockey Puducherry (PUD) 3-0 .

Lal Ruatsanga, Lal Ramdina and Vanlal Danmawia slammed in the winning goals in the 31st, 61st and 64th minute respectively.
