15th NCYO Football and Volleyball Tournament / Cultural Meet concludes

The 15th edition of the Football and Volleyball Tournament cum Cultural Meet organised by Nungnang Circle Youth Organisation (NCYO) at Nungnang (Luangraeng ) under Khoupum sub-division of Noney district, came to an end today.
The 5-day sports cum cultural meet was organised under the theme "Learn, Unite and Serve".
The closing ceremony of the event was graced by Gaidon Kamei, executive member BJP Manipur Pradesh and intending candidate of Nungba AC; Gaimuaipou Phaomei, secretary, Village Authority Luangraeng village; Kenan Kamei, former RNCM president and Adai Dangmei, chairman, Villages Council Longmai Area as dignitaries.

Speaking at the occasion, Gaidon Kamei extended new year wishes to the gathering and expressed thankfulness over inviting him to grace the closing function of the 5-day event.
He also acknowledged the role of NCYO in uplifting youths by organising such a sporting event 15 times and for their role in spreading the idea of love, peace and unity.
Saying that Noney district has a plenty of outstanding State and National athletes and huge potential to produce more, he said that talents could not be explored fully due to lack of facilities and infrastructure.
He also drew the attention of the State Government and the Chief Minister to construct a sports stadium at district headquarters as assured on November 30, 2021 during a political conference.
Noting the fact that Nungnang circle is one of the backward and isolated areas, he assured all that he will surely propose the State Government to take up forms of development programmes and appealed to the villagers to support him in the upcoming State Assembly election.
Gaidon Kamei also donated a sum of Rs 1 lakh to the organising committee of the 5-day sports cum cultural meet.
