TRUGPU enter SFs in CC Meet 2014

Tiddim Road Unique Gammy Players' Union (TRUGPU), Nambol entered the semi final after defeating Langsning FC, Shillong by a margin of 2 goals to one today in the first quarter final of the ongoing 58th Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament, organised by All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.
The match began with TRUGPU dominating the first half with two goals against Langsning FC .
TRUGPU witnessed the first goal in the 10th minute after L Sanatomba netted through a fine cross from Th Johnson.
A powerful throw in by TRUGPU's Ch Anandkumar assisted the defender Th Ratan Meitei to strike home the second goal in the first half injury time.

TRUGPU registered a comfortable 2-0 lead by the end of the first half.
After the breather, the TRUGPU defenders were stretched by the Langsning players who went on the offensive to come back into the match.
Langsning FC's Fullmoon Mukhim headed his side's opening goal in the 71st minute through a long pass from Chesterfield Nongdhar to make the scoreline 2-1 .
Langsning FC continued attacking but failed to find the equaliser.
TRUGPU's Th Ratan clinched the man of the match title.
Fullmoon Mukhim of Langsning was sent off the match in the second half injury time for unsporting behaviour while TRUGPU's Ch Anandkumar and Romesh were cautioned during the match.
Yesterday in the last pre-quarter finals, an early strike from A Herojit and a goal from N Sushil in the 5th minute and 64th minute respectively helped Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU), Kwakeithel edge out Anouba Imagi Mangal (AIM), Khabam by a margin of 2 goals to one.
The only goal for AIM was scored by H Naoba in the 74th minute.
TRAU's L David and L Manitombi were yellow carded during the match.
