Y Henary, W Lamjingba and Th Dhananjoy reach junior boys' 57 kg category semis

Yengkhom Henary of AUS beat Laishubam Radheysham Singh of MKBA and W Lamjingba of TBA defeated IND's Soibam Zlee Singh to made their way into the semi-finals of the junior boys' 57 kg category competition at the 2nd Manipur State Invitation Boxing Championship 2021 being underway at the Boxing Arena of Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.

Thokchom Dhananjoy of NBA also made it to the last 4 stage without breaking a sweat as he was awarded a walkover in the last 8 round.

Semi-finals line up of junior boys' 54 kg category was also completed today with Mongjam Radison of KBA beating Pheiroijam Nonglen Meitei of NBA, Ngariyanbam Jupiter of TBA beating Mayengbam Herojit of IND, Thokchom Amitkumar Singh of IVRBS beating Yaikhomba Laishram of MKBA and Md Ajim of SRBA beating Soilalkhum Gangte of IND in their quarter final bouts.

In the sub-junior boys' 52 kg category quarter final bouts, Thokchom Lenjaoba of IND beat compatriot Elangbam Sunanda, Irungbam Malemnganba of MKBA beat Thokchom Boycha of KBA, Yumkhaibam Armond of NBA beat IND's Thokchom Bungthoi and Takhellambam Khambaton of IVRBS beat Khwairakpam Danyson of IND to secure their last four round berths.

The semi-finals line up for junior boys' 50 kg category was also completed today as Thokchom Bishwamitra of IVRBS downed ASM's Suraj Ayam, UBA's Meinam Khristino Renish beat Shagolshem Debendro of IND, MKBA's Langamba beat Ningthoujam Chinglensana and Shagolshem Rockey of NBA beat Md Miraj of SRBA.

Md Mujahid of SRBA also made his way into the boys' 46 kg category last four round with a win over Awungshi Jingo of NBA as Khunjamayum Bidyananda of UBA beat IVRBS's Pukhrambam Bicky Singh and Huidrom Rishi Mangang of IND beat MKBA's Sumit Khumukcham to secure the last four round tickets in the same weight category.

In the 48 kg category quarter final bouts, Biso Roundkhotinsan Koireng of IND beat Mayangmayum Hanif and Tompok Thokchom Singh of KBAA beat Pukhrambam Singhajit of ABA to book semi-finals spots.

Sub-Junior Boys
Shagolshem Jackyson of IND and Ningthoujam Naocha of NBA also book semi-finals tickets in the sub-junior boys 40 kg category competition today beating SRBA's Kongkham Chetan and LRBA's Ningthoujam Akaba respectively.

Khaidem Sanatomba of AUS also made his way into the sub-junior boys' 43 kg category semis by beating LRBA's Nikhil Thokchom today.

In the sub-junior boys' 46 kg category quarter final matches, Mutum Nikison of AAYCA beat Md Hejafuddin of SRBA, Nongthombam Henthoiba of PBA beat Huidrom Rishi of IND and Thaimei Jackson of ABA beat Khuraijam Guliver of LRBA to seal their places in the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Angom Ronaldo of AUS, Thongam Nilbir of IND, Ningthemsana Sanjenbam of RISBA, Moirangthem Yaikhomba, Nandeibam Babychand of KBA and Maibam Jet of IVRBS won in the pre-quarter final bouts of the sub-junior boys' 49 kg category to earn last 8 round berths.

Meekness Khaidem of MKBA, Kabiraj Moirangthem of KBAA, Lourembam Malemnganba Singh of IIS, Ngamba Longjam of ASM also secured semi-final tickets by beating respective opponents in the 52 kg category quarter final bouts.

Laishram Mangansana Singh of NBA entered sub-junior boys 55 kg category semi-finals today beating Korounganba Yurembam of PBA in a quarter final bout before Neeraj Nongmaithem of LRBA got a walkover against IND's Khangjrakpam Yaima.

Wakambam Inao of LRBA also boxed his way into the 58 kg category semi-finals by beating Kinny Ningthoujam of IND.
