Imphal, January 05 2020: AMMA, Andro won 3-0 over Lenlai Club (LC), Churachandpur while WFA, Kakching drubbed PLL, Churachandpur 6-0 in the last day matches of the U-17 Khelo India Women's League 2019 as ESU, Wangkhei claimed the title of the tournament with 7 of 7 wins .

The valedictory function of the tournament was graced by K Bhavananda, MP Rajya Sabha; AMFA vice presidents, K Yaima Singh, T Thangzasong, DB Kowar Lamkang and M Ratankumar, president AMFA as dignitaries who also handed out trophy to the winners, ESU.

In the 27th league match of the day, AMMA started slowly in the opening half but gained ground after the break and pumped in three goals to end their campaign with a 3-0 victory at Turf Ground.

AMMA dominated the game right from the beginning but lack of composure and some fine defending performances by LC defenders held them back from going ahead till the break.

AMMA however pushed forward with more intent and purpose and it was in the 34th minute that Ph Ichan broke the deadlock with a clean finish before Ch Geeta doubled their advantage four minutes latter.

Ph Abema then rounded off the scoring latter in the 56th minute and handed AMMA the third win of the tournament.

WFA, Kakching on the other hand rode on doubles by Rosy Thanga and Ambika to notch up a huge 6-0 victory against PLL.

WFA ran riot from the beginning and kept the PLL defence busy with a barrage of shots until Rosy Thanga opened up the floodgate in the 10th minute.

Her attacking partner Ambika then added the second goal in the 22nd minute before Rosy completed her double in the 28th minute to make it 3-0 past PLL.

Sandiya then carried forward the onslaught to help WFA enter into the break with 4-0 lead with a beautiful strike in the 30th minute.

PLL's misery went deeper with Julisha adding WFA fifth goal in the 42nd minute before Ambika drove home the final nail in the 54th minute and completed the 6-0 rout.

With the result, WFA ended the campaign with 6 points.
