NEROCA beat ZFC by 4-2

Imphal, September 04 2014: North Eastern Reorganising and Cultural Association (NEROCA), Sangakpham registered their first win, defeating Zomi Football Club (ZFC) by 4-2 goals in the ongoing 9th Manipur State League organised by All Manipur Football Association (AIFF) under the sponsorship of MLA Khumukcham Joykishan Singh today at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.

As the match began NEROCA's Y Chingkhei Meitei missed a penalty kick hitting the goal post in 20th miniutes.

In the next minute after NEROCA failed the penalty shoot, ZFC counter attacked and finally opened the first goal of the team by the team captain G Hausonpau which gave a shocking impact to the NEROCA fans and supporters.

Minutes later, a well throw in from NEROCA's Sohail Shah helped his team-mate Ch Kishan to give a well through pass to his team captain Kh Satish and without wasting a second Kh Satish equalised the scoreline by 1-1 in 38th minutes.

However, NEROCA's Kh Satish struck his second goal in the additional time to make 2-1 in the first half.

As the second half started, the match began with positive notes in both teams, NEROCA's Sohail Shah headed a corner kick from W Chingkhei Meitei in the edge of the ZFC's goalmouth and extended the lead by 3-1 in 73rd minutes.

And, few minutes later ZFC's Cleaven Hmar managed to contribute another goal for the team reading the scoreling 3-2 .

Desperate to equalise the match against NEROCA by one goal behind, ZFC tried hard in the last minutes of the game but could not find any chance to strike back and score goals.

The fourth winning goal of NEROCA was shot by L Bungobi assisted by Kh Satish in the additional time (second half) .

T Kamkhuallian (ZFC) and Tondonba (NEROCA) were booked yellow cards in 28th and 88th minutes respectively for unsupporting behaviours.

In today's match N Ibungo Meitei, Ringka Hao Vashum, L Priyobrata and Ph Lanthoiba were the match centre referee, AR1, AR2 and fourth official respectively.
