Manipur secure 30 medals till Day 3 of National Level NE Games

Manipur have altogether won 30 medals including 16 gold till the third day of the National Level North East Games, organised by Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
Athletics : In the men's 800 m race, N Konungjao (Manipur), Vz Lalpeha (Mizoram), and Requestme Oyrtuh (Meghalaya) respectively clinched the first, second and third placed titles.
In the women's 800 m race, N Chaoba (Manipur) finished on top while Mangli Tamang (Sikkim) and Fatema Begum (Tripura) settled for the second and third position respectively.
In the women's shot put event, Ramengmawi Sailo (Mizoram), Hoinekim Samte (Manipur), and K Romola (Manipur) won first, second and third position respectively.

In the men's high jump, Litan Debbarman (Tripura), Rajkumar Warepam Meitei (Manipur) and Jiten Debbarman (Tripura) claimed the first, second and third position.
Judo: In the women's 48 kg, L Sandhya (Manipur), Lalnilawmawmii (Mizoram) clinched the first and second spot while Kabir Doyom (Arunachal Pradesh) and I Heislungle (Nagaland) jointly clinched the third position respectively.
In the women's 70 kg, Gangarani (Manipur), Lallawmzuali (Mizoram), and Rikta Das (Tripura) clinched the first, second and third position respectively.
In the women's 52 kg, Lalhu Mahimi (Mizoram), Silom Tesla (Arunachal Pradesh) clinched the first, second position while Khriinizulli (Nagaland) and Chanka Chakma clinched the third position jointly.
In the women's +70 kg, L Roshini (Manipur), Lal Thazuali (Mizoram), and Vizokhonu Rhinyo (Nagaland) clinched the first, second and third position respectively.
In the men's 55 kg, Jonathan Razorliana (Mizoram), Ronaldo (Manipur) clinched the first, second position while Wangplong Lowang (Arunachal Pradesh) and Budhapada Tamati (Tripura) jointly clinched the third position respectively.
In the men's 60 kg, Lenkima Vangel (Mizoram), Mirdhan (Tripura) clinched the first and second position while L Jagadish (Manipur) and Sabou (Nagaland) jointly clinched the third position respectively.
In the men's 66 kg, Vinlallowma (Mizoram), Th Sanatomba (Manipur) clinched the first and second position while I Ansari (Meghalaya) and Miren Taweng (Arunachal Pradesh) clinched the third position respectively.
Weightlifting: In the men's 62 kg, Yuhar Thichak (AP), Thinghai Wangsu (AP) and L Paikhomba (Manipur) clinched gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.
In the women's 53 kg, M Purnima Chanu (Manipur), Popy Hazarika (Assam), and Posen Kongkang (AP) clinched gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.
In the women's 58 kg, Kh Nungshiton Chanu (Manipur), Chandana Gogoi (Assam) and Lalrin Mawi (Mizoram) clinched gold, silver and bronze medal respectively.
Football : In the women's football, Manipur thrashed Tripura by a margin of 10 goals to nil.
Ng Bala scored in the 14th, 22nd and 58th minute.
Promesori scored in the 11th, 31th, 39th, 52nd and 56th minute while Bindyarani and Umabati scored one goal each in the 68th and 73rd mniute. In another match, Arunachal Pradesh blanked Sikkim by a margin of 6 goals to nil.
In the men's football, Manipur and Mizoram played out a goalless draw.
In another match, Nagaland blanked Sikkim by a margin of 8 goals to nil.
Tripura beat Meghalaya by a margin of 2goals to 1.Hockey : In the women's hockey, Mizoram registered a convincing 6-0 victory against Assam in the first match.
In men's hockey, Manipur outclassed Tripura by a margin of 17goals to 2 .
In another match, Mizoram beat Assam by margin of 3 goals to 2 .
