PCA to host winter football coaching camp

Ukhrul, December 03 2017: Patkai Christian Academy (PCA), Ukhrul will host the district level winter football coaching camp from December 11 to 20 at Changraphung, Shangshak Ukhrul .

Announcing this during a press conference today at PCA, Principal of the school Aton Lunghar said the school is located 18 kilometers away from Ukhrul town and offers a peaceful study atmosphere with adequate sporting infrastructure including football ground, volley ball court, table tennis etc and added that the school has an area of 300 acres of land .

Music is also included in the school curricula and is a compulsory subject, he added .

According to him, Patkai Christian Academy is the only school in Manipur to be affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) Delhi .

Sports in-charge of the Academy, Sochipem highlighted some of the sporting achievements of the school including winning the 2017 CISCE football tournament, North East chapter and took part in the National football (CISCE schools) tournament at Salt Lake, Kolkata .

The main objective of organising the coaching camp is to teach the young students the merit of time management and discipline, added Sochipem .

The training will include theory and practical .

He further mentioned that PCA has sought technical support from SAI North East Regional Centre, Imphal .

Over 80 student in the age group of 8 to 14 would be given free coaching and an AIFF D-lincense holder has been engaged for the camp .

The month long winter football coaching camp is sponsored by NEC.
