Chandel 1st division league PYC beat ZSYC; LSYC, DLFC draw

Imphal, September 03 2016: PYC clinched a thrilling 4-3 win over ZSYC in the ongoing Chandel district 1st division football league 2016 today at Liwa Sarei football ground being organised by DSA, Chandel.

D Robingam Lamkang put PYC ahead in the 21st minute only for Th Sharlin Chothe to equalise for ZSYC in the 26th minute.

MK Zebulun's goal in the 31st minute put ZSYC ahead.

However, the lead was short-lived as D Robingam was at it again in the 37th minute pulling one back.

The first half of the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

After the break, SK Darngam once again put PYC ahead after slotting home a fine goal in the 43rd minute.

ZSYC equalised the goal in a span of 11 minutes as Th Sharlin Chothe scored his second in the 54th minute.

PYC tore ZSYC's makeshift defence to shreds with superb goal by D Wangtong giving the PYC a 4-3 lead by the 63rd minute.

ZSYC made frantic attempts but there was no equalizer.

In another league encounter, LSYC and DLFC shared one apiece as their match ended 1-1 .

It was Rd Thungni of LDLFC who drew first blood in the 14th minute.

However, LSYC denied full points and equalised in the 48th minute through a fine goal by Sh Ngamphasing.
