UYAC, PHAM win in Dr kanti hockey

Imphal, March 03 2009:: UYAC, Kongba Ucheckon rallied to crush SAI RC, Takyel 7-3 while PHAM, yaiskul pulverised YAC, Yaiskul 11-0 in group matches of the 11th Dr Kanti Mukherjee Memorial Invitation Hockey Tournament at Khuman Lampak Hockey stadium today.

After Ph Sova opened the SAI score with a 7th minute goal, UYAC dominated the game in the remaining period as M Mirple (19th), N Rajesh (25th), S Honda (37th, 56th, 59th, 63rd) and A Boinao (61st) rained goals for the Kongba side.

M Amarjit (60th) and H Sanatomba (67th) scored the other SAI goals. In the second match of the day which PHAM won with the comprehensive score margin, Kh Kothajit sounded the YAC board six times and Kh Rabikanta thrice as Sh Nilakanta and Ksh Wangamba contributed one each.
