17th Mini Boys State Level Volleyball Championship : AMYC, SDC register second wins

AMYC, Andro and SDC, Samurou continued their fine forms to upset their respective group rivals on their way to second wins in today's league matches of the ongoing 17th Mini Boys State Level Volleyball Championship hosted by Kairenbikhok Youth Sporting Union under the aegis of All Manipur Volleyball Association at Kairembikhok Awang Leikai Community Hall.
In the first league match (Group A) of the day hosts, KYSU overcame yesterday's blemishes by beating SDI, Ishok by an overwhelming 3-0 sets and earned full points.
KYSU enjoyed full control of the game from the beginning to notch up a commanding 25-19, 25-18, 25-15 win.
The second match of the day witnessed SDC, Samurou edged past MIKHYA-A by 3-1 sets to earn second win of the tournaments (Group C) .
SDC started the game on a bright note but slipped in the second set before making a nice return and sealed the game 25-15, 19-25, 25-20, 25-14 .
TRYVC, Ukhrul made a dominant display to register their first win against SEMDO, Pangantabi today.
The Ukhrul side capitalized the whole match and cruised to a 25-22, 25-7, 25-20 win.
With this loss SEMDO has ended their journey in the tournament as other TRYVC and YMDO will clash for group winner's title in the next tie.
AMYC, Andro also made their chances clear for the next round of the tournament as they carved out a 3-1 sets victory over MIKHYA-B in their second group stage tie (Group D) .
AMYC got off to a flying start dominating the earlier sets before losing control in the third set.
The Andro side, however managed a comeback in the fourth set and took home the match 25-19, 25-21, 22-25, 25-18 .
IGO, Oinam who lost their first group tie (Gp C) to SDC amended their way today and secured an easy 25-9, 25-11, 25-10 win over SUWC-B, Irengbam in the 5th match of the day while the last match of the day (Gp D) saw SUWC-A knock out YPA Hiranmei, which conceded their first game yesterday to AMYC, by 25-22, 25-22, 25-23 sets in a tensely contested game.
Tomorrow: MIKHYA-B vs YPA (Gp D); MIKHYA-A vs IGO (Gp C); NYVA vs SDI (Gp A); TRYVC vs YMDO (Gp B); SUWC-B vs SDC (Gp C) and SUWC-A vs AMYC (Gp D) .
