AITA Super Series : Ashwajit-Bhicky win boys doubles title, Malishka-Chandni claim girls doubles title

Manipur pair consisting of Senjam Ashwajit and Bhicky Sagolshem were able to clinch boys doubles title while Malishka-Chandni claim girls doubles title at the AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament for U-14 boys and girls which is currently underway at Officers' Club tennis court at Lamphelpat.
Ashwajit-Bhicky pair defeated Roshan Agarwal and Manan Nath 7-5, 6-3 in the doubles final to claim the title today.
Ashwajit-Bhicky reached the semi final with a 6-1, 6-0 win against Ved Kalita and Antariksh Tamuly in the quarter-final while the pair overcame Ved Pawar and Joshua Eapen 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 to set up final date with Roshan Agarwal and Manan Nath who overwhelmed Mahlingam Kandhavel and Heishnam Shanker 6-4, 7-5 in the semi-final.
Elsewhere, Malishka-Chandni pair sealed the girls doubles title with a 6-1, 6-0 win against Aditi Singh and Archita Sahoo in the final.
Boys Singles
Senjam Ashwajit and Bhicky Sagolshem have secured their place in the semi-finals of the boys singles.
Senjam Ashwajit sealed his place in the semifinals with a comfortable 6-1, 6-3 win against Assam's Jigyasman Hazarika in the quarter final match.
Meanwhile Bhicky Sagolshem fought back from a set down to clinch a 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 win against Manan Nath of Assam to book the last 4 round berth of the same competition.
Senjam Ashwajit will take on Parcha of Telangana in the semi-final.
Parcha beat Mahalingam Kandhavel of Assam 6-4, 6-2 in another quarter final.
Rohan Agarwal of West Bengal also made himself into the semi-final with a convincing 6-2, 6-1 win against Ved Aditya Kalita of Assam and will meet Manipur's Bhicky in the semi-final.
Girls Singles
Chandni Srinivasan of Telangana, Durganshi Singh of Delhi, Jagatdeo Saumitra Verma of Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal's Shimreen Ahamed registered wins against their rivals to book their semi-final berths in the girls singles competition.
Chandni Srinivasan clinched a 6-1, 6-2 win against Manipur's Lamabam Bindiyarani in a quarter final match to set up semi-final clash with Delhi's Durganshi which pulled off a 6-4, 6-4 win against Odisha's Archita Sahoo in another quarter final match.
Jagatdeo Saumitra Verma of Uttar Pradesh on the other hand sealed a 6-2, 7-6 (5) win against Malishka Kuramu of Telanaga to book a place in the semi-final.
Saumitra Verma will meet West Bengal's Shimreen Ahamed who overcame Tania Kumari of Assam 6-2, 7-6 (4) in another quarter final clash of the competition.
