Imphal, February 29 2024: The semi-final line up of the 2nd MNCA U-19 Men's Cricket Tournament organised by the Manipur Cricket Association has been completed today with KASC, Khomidok; AKSDO, Khangabok; TCMDC, Thongju and RCA, Lilong securing quarter-final victories.

In the first quarter final match of the tournament staged at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College Ground in Takyel, KASC outlasted YWC, Langthabal by 8 wickets courtesy Md Aqeel and bowlers.

YWC elected to bat first but could not withstand KASC bowling attack and were bundled out for 149 runs in 40 overs.

Heisnam Manikanta topscored for the team with a 38-ball 42 after top order batters proved wasteful.

Aqeel (2/46 in 8 overs), Md Irfan (2/15 in 8 overs) and Fm Sharif (1/22 in 8 overs) inflicted early damage to YWC line up before Bm Afsar (4/24 in 7 overs) swept the middle and lower orders.

In reply, Y Achouba got rid of Md Sharif Khan on 11 and Mustaque on duck in the fourth and the fifth deliveries of the 9th over, but Md Ali Karim 39 and Md Aqeel 87 resurrected the innings from 20/2 and sealed the victory by lifting their team to 153/2 in 29.2 overs.

Md Aqeel found the fence 13 times (6 fours and 7 sixes) as Md Ali Karim hit 4 fours.

In the second quarter final match staged at Lairenjam Public Ground, TCMDC Thongju registered a huge 10-wicket victory over CRAU by bowling out the latter team for 89 runs in 22.3 overs courtesy Rain Urikhinbam (3/19), Albert Sorokhaibam (3/21) and Nepram Richer (2/17) .

W Nareshkumar scored the highest 22 for CRAU who were put in to bat first before the opening partnership between Rain Urikhinbam 48 (off 40 balls, 10 fours) and Pukhrambam Rohit 35 (off 31 balls, 7 fours) took TCMDC to 91 within 11.4 overs.

In the third quarter final match staged at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, AKSDO saw off Al-Ameen by 8 wickets.

L Nirash (4/19), S Kaiku (2/7), L Akash (2/9) and L Nunshiba (2/15) led AKSDO in bundling out Al-Ameen for just 67 runs and cruised to 69 for two wickets in 11 overs thanks to Bishorjit Mangang 29 and Saikhom Lanchenba 21 not out.

Meanwhile in the fourth quarter final match staged today at Moijing Public Ground, RCA knocked out PTRC, Patsoi Part IV by 3 wickets.

PTRC were dismissed for 97 runs in 30.4 overs as Naesh Hussain (4/10 in 7 overs) and Md Danish Khan (3/23 in 8 overs) wreaked hovoc before RCA fought their way to the target for 7 wickets in 22 overs despite Jotin Pheiroijam picking four wickets.

Khaidem Joyraj 24, Jotin Pheiroijam 16 and Rohit Aribam 16 led the scoring for PTRC in the innings which also saw Md Alfash claiming two wickets for RCA who earned the victory courtesy of Aziz Mirza 28, Naesh Hussain 16, Imran Khan 14 and 22 extras conceded by PTRC.
