Assam Rifles organises ex-servicemen rally

Kakching, October 30 2018:
Kakching Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) conducted a pension Adalat for the AR ex-servicemen and their widows residing in Sugnu, Kakching district today.
A sort of institutional reciprocal gesture at the behest of Directorate General of Assam Rifles to the Veterans who give the best years of their lives to this Country.
The outreach initiative was aimed at providing a healing touch to the Ex-Servicemen in the area.
Various grievances related to their pension and allowances were noted for rectification.
The pension Adalat was attended by 24 veteran including widows.
Sugnu Company Operating Base Commander, Kakching Battalion interacted with the veterans and assured them of full co-operation.
The event was followed by a sumptuous lunch and free medicine to the Ex-Servicemen.
The Ex-Servicemen President thanked the Battalion for such a thoughtful gesture and wished Assam Rifles good luck for future endeavours.
