Special Handloom Expo 2018-19 starts at GM Hall

Imphal, March 30 2019: Manipur Apex Handloom Weavers and handicraft Artisans CS Ltd under the sponsorship of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, started 16 days Special Handloom Expo 2018-19 at GM Hall, Imphal today.

AWAS Board of Director S Bhubon said that the expo was organised in view of the coming Sajibu Cheiraoba on April 6 .

The expo will have varieties of handloom products to meet the demands of the people on the occasion, he added.

The programme will also help promote handloom products and growth of the weavers, he said.

He appealed the stall owners and personnel not to hike prices of the products.

A total of 81 stalls are opened at the expo.

Padmashree L Subadani, president AWAS K Indira Devi and others attended the event.
