AR assists stranded trucks

Imphal, December 28 2016: Assam Rifles has assisted trucks stranded in Jiribam due to UNC's economic blockade.

More than 500 trucks were escorted along Jiribam �Imphal road on December 25 .

The area was sanitised by the Assam Rifles Battalions deployed along the highway in coordination with army, police, BSF and CRPF personnel.

Additional police personnel and CAPFs which were deployed for the operation were also provided administrative support by the Assam Rifles.

Safe passage was also provided to vehicles of Land Post Authority of India (Department of Border Management) by AR along Imphal-Moreh road today.
