Training prog for farmers held

Thoubal, August 28 2021: United Committee Manipur (UCM) along with Salam Loukol Farmers' Association, Heirok Part-II organised a one-day farmers' training programme at Heirok Part-II Laimayum Mandop on Saturday.

The training programme conducted with an objective to make the state self-reliant in food production was attended by KVK Thoubal head and senior scientist Dr Sarangthem Jesmarani, UCM president Joychandra Konthoujam and local elders Ningthoujam Lokendro and Thiyam Sur as presidium members.

DAO Thoubal block technology manager Likmabam Gorvachou and Y Ashalata spoke as resource persons during the programme.

Urea, AYUSH medicines and winter seeds were also distributed to 50 farmers as a part of the training programme.
